Patricia Carolina was born in northern Mexico and is now based in Oslo, where she works as an artist and organizer. Her practice moves across video, installation, and textile, weaving together tensions between domesticity and danger, progress and loss. These dualities are channeled in her projects through recurring motifs such as underground networks, flowing water, and serpents.
Parallel to her studio practice, she is an active member of Verdensrommet—a mutual support network for migrant artists in Norway. She holds a BA from the Iceland University of the Arts and an MFA from Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo. Her projects have been included in exhibitions across Norway, Finland, Mexico, Estonia, Brazil, and Iceland.
Recently, she completed Serpentine, a large-scale outdoor installation commissioned by Jessheim Municipality.
